My kids love the fun games that are played; they especially love ninja frisbee and musical hula hoops. As parents, we love the communication, structure and character building reinforcement. We highly recommend Awesome Kids!

We love awesome kids and how much they care about each and every child. Couldn’t say enough good things about Everyone the coaches, owners and more! Would recommend to anyone looking for safe, fun program for their child!

My son was beginning school and I wasn’t happy with his current daycare. I inquired and was responded to very quickly. This program provides structure, fun and opportunity! The coaches are amazing with the kids! The Viernes family really invest in their kids and community. My son loves this program and we have watched him grow and mature so much since starting! There are no surprises. They communicate so well with parents and the expectations are clear! I recommend this program highly. I needed to update this after two years… We still send our son here two years later and are prepping for his sister to join when she starts school!! Since Covid has been in our lives this program continues to soar past our expectations. This program has truly been there for families all while making sure they are cleaning, sanitizing, distancing and providing fun for the kids. They follow CDC guidelines for safety. The communication remains open and it is wonderful to know my child is safe. We are so thankful to have found this community!!

My son goes here for the After School Program and he absolutely loves it. He is picked up right from school in Gorham and goes there for his snack, homework time and always a rotation of fun activities. They are open until 6:00, and he often wants to stay as long as possible. My four year old daughter is excited for when she can join her big brother to come as well! We can't thank Shihan and Doshu enough for having such a great place for kids to go!

A couple of years ago when we were looking for an after school program for our son, we came across Westbrook's Awesome After School Program. Our son is still going there 2 years later and we all love it! We wanted a place where he'd be fully engaged in activities both physical and educational and they have everything. What we also love is that there is a strict no bullying policy and there are consistent lessons in confidence building and helping others. Their hours are super working parent friendly - I live in Gorham and work in Portland and I have plenty of time to pick him up after leaving work at 5pm - which even gives me time to do some grocery shopping on the way! Note: our son also attends their summer camp program, which is just more of the wonderful activities they offer - plus field trips and swim days!

The WAASP program is absolutely wonderful!!! My 8 year old daughter truly enjoys the summer camp. She was originally scheduled for only one week and she ended up going almost the entire summer because she loved it so much! A very positive environment. The coaches and the Viernes family are incredible!

My granddaughter had previously been in private in home care and the recreation program through the city. I decided to give WAASP a try and I have not regretted it for a second. With the others it was basically a babysitter until I could pick her up but with WAASP it is an experience. They have scheduled activities and instill the discipline of the Jukado way in the kids. She is not just there wasting time until it's over. They go above and beyond to make sure every child has an enjoyable learning experience. And the best part is their snow day policy. They are there on snow days because adults don't get snow days. I have been through the snow day scramble for daycare and I am so glad I found Shihan and Doshu and their wonderful program.

Hands down one of the BEST places I’ve had the opportunity to work for! Being a Coach at WAASP has been fun and rewarding. As a school teacher, my summer time is precious and limited. I chose to spend my summer with WAASP and enjoyed every minute! I had the opportunity to share my interests and strengths with the campers and other coaches. I was also able to grow and challenge myself in ways I never could have expected. Thank you WAASP for an AWESOME summer!

My son and I absolutely Love this program! The staff here is amazing and they truly care about each awesome camper! This is exactly the kind of summer/ after school camp my kiddo needed! Structure, discipline, and routine mixed with fun, love and respect; it has really given my son a new found sense of self confidence and has taught him that a little respect goes a long way! Let’s not forget the friendships he has formed in such a short amount of time; the kind of bonds that help to build character- truly amazing! Aside from the friendships, and life lessons... it has him SO tired at the end of the day that he often times will ask ME if it’s bed time yet! I can’t speak higher about this program!

This program is, simply put, amazing!!! Both of my children love attending the summer camp. Lots of fun activities, energetic and kind staff, and positivity!!! My children feel so empowered and safe in their care. 💙 highly recommend every child attends this program!
